Box reset trick

The "box trick" is a method for removing extra data from a model: unwanted transforms, corrupted internal data, etc.

  1. Create a new box (any primitive will do).
  2. Convert it to a mesh.
  3. Activate the "Attach" function.
  4. Pick the troublematic mesh.
  5. Delete the box element.

Modeling software usually has a function that does something similar, but often they don't perform as complete of a reset as the box method.
